I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a PGA of America Professional Golf Management Degree. I chose to be a golf instructor because I truly believe golf is a game of life and can be played for a lifetime. Golf is wonderful because it is a sport where a 15 year old could compete with a 51 year old. My teaching philosophy focuses on making every golfer into a player.

Just because you go golfing does not mean you’re actually playing the game. A golfer hits a ball into a hole hopefully following the rules that are set by the USGA. A player does the same but more efficiently and effectively. Don’t get me wrong, passion for the game is essential but does not necessarily mean a golfer knows exactly how to improve. Every golfer has an image or idea of what the golf swing is and how the course should be played. Whatever image is drawn up for each individual is how they naturally view the game. Some have more correct and accurate images than others and that is why some are considered “naturals.”

The journey of becoming a player can be difficult at times, but you are not alone. I assure you the outcome will be rewarding and golf will become more enjoyable on many different levels. The road to get there is mapped out by me; the student must commit, trust, and practice. Admittedly, I do not feel a golfer can improve by simply hitting countless golf balls on the range. They must practice what is relevant and with purpose. I will ask my students to do whatever is needed to improve their game. My teaching style is to improve on the positives, and work out the negatives, whatever they may be. I emphasize on improving the mental mind set of my students and improving awareness on the course. Information is king, so come get informed with the right stuff.
